World’s Best The NSWIS Women’s Hockey Program stands as a leading force in high performance development for talented female hockey players. Under the guidance of Ben Senior, the program offers state of the art training facilities and comprehensive support services. It’s track record speaks for itself, with over 20 NSWIS athletes making significant contributions to the Hockeyroos’ success, including three Olympic gold medals, three Commonwealth Games gold medals, and three world titles. Notably, Alyson Annan, a celebrated player and coach, achieved Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2000 and was honoured with induction into the prestigious NSWIS Most Outstanding list. In addition, former NSWIS Head Coach Katrina Powell, a dual Olympic gold medallist, became the Head Coach of the Hockeyroos in 2021. Kate Jenner, an exceptional defender, has also left her mark, represented Australia at the London 2012 Olympic Games and won two Commonwealth Games gold medals. Kate now contributes to the sport’s development as part of the coaching staff of the Australian Institute of Sport’s (AIS) National Generation 2032 Coach Program (Gen32).
