Grae Morris finishes fourth at the 2024 iQFOiL World Championships

Australian iQFOiL sailor Grae Morris has completed an outstanding campaign at the World Championships, finishing fourth at Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

After winning the quarter-final, the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) athlete narrowly missed out on qualifying for the grand-final after finishing third in his semi-final.

Morris finished as the Under 21 World Champion at the event and said he is looking forward to continuing his journey as the countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympics continues.

“Genuinely very happy with my week and my improvements, but of course difficult to be completely satisfied,” Morris said.

“Looking forward to getting back home and continuing the journey.”

The 20-year-old took to social media to thank his team.

“Couldn’t have been done without the support from the Australian Sailing Team, my family, my coach Arthur Brett who doesn’t get enough recognition for what we are achieving and my amazing girlfriend Dominique Stater,” Morris wrote on Instagram.

Morris will continue his build-up to Paris 2024 when he heads to Mallorca in April for the Trofeo Princesa Sofia regatta event.
