Jakara Anthony achieved her best result at a World Cup, placing second in Thaiwoo, China for the Women’s Moguls. It’s the 20 year old’s first World Cup podium.

Competition began early Saturday morning with the qualification round sending the top 16 athletes through to the finals and where the best-of-the-best would drop in one after another to battle for the win.

The NSW Institute of Sport athlete placed fourth at the Winter Olympics earlier in the year, and continues to build on that success.

Anthony now sits third on the overall standings on the World Cup Circuit.

Fellow NSWIS athlete James Matheson claimed his own personal best result. The 23 year old Moguls skier placed sixth place in the Men’s event in China following his own impressive Winter Olympics appearance.
