Tim Hodge finishes fourth in the Men's 400m Freestyle - S9 Final

NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) athlete Tim Hodge has finished fourth in the final of the men’s 400m freestyle S9 at the 2024 Paralympic Games, just missing the podium.

Hodge, who finished in fourth position with a time of 4:16;178, was pipped to the podium by fellow Australian Brenden Hall who took home the bronze medal in a time of 4:15;61.

Hodge is still chasing that elusive gold medal after a fifth finish in the men’s 100m breaststroke SB8.
Hodge, who has two silver and a bronze in the pool room from the Tokyo Games, is building towards his pet event in which he is the world-record holder – the 200 IM on Day 8.
The 23-year-old touched in 1:12.11 with neutral athlete Andrei Kalina, 37, claiming his fifth Paralympic gold medal in this event, stopping the clock at 1:09.02. China’s Guanglong got silver (1:09.83) and Columbia’s Carlos Serrano Zarate won bronze (1:10.55, a new Paralympic record for SB7).
