Sprinter and NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) athlete Joshua Azzopardi has received a quota to contest the individual 100m at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games joining fellow NSWIS athlete Rohan Browning in the event.

Azzopardi received a late call from Athletics Australia to inform him of a contestant pulling out of the 100m and “giving me the opportunity to live a dream!”

The Aussie sprinter had already been selected to compete in the men’s 4x100m relay.

This will be the first time since Sydney 2000 TWO Aussie men will contest the individual 100m event at the Olympics.

Time to change the training schedule up a bit.
Haven’t peaked yet……
